Especially when there's a genuine interest in putting it into practice. I thrive working with organisations that build alongside me, driven by trust and a growth mindset. What I find challenging: the way marketing is talked about in many organisations. As if it's a trick. I believe marketing is about listening. When you do that well, it becomes one of the most important feedback loops for the organisation — and it can help improve every internal process.
I listen carefully and ask honest questions — even when they're uncomfortable. I keep sight of the bigger picture when everyone else is caught up in the chaos of the day. I speak the language of the boardroom, the sales organisation, and the marketing team — and I connect those worlds.
The relationship is what matters most to me. I approach things from a human perspective. That's not always the norm in marketing, but many business owners appreciate it — because they prefer to do business that way too.
